What is required?
For payments abroad (outside Norway), the payment system requires the recipient's address to be complete – including a house number. This applies to all payments sent via IBAN or other international payment channels.
For domestic payments, an address is not required.
How to fill in the address correctly
In the payment dialog ("Register payment"), there is one Address field. Enter the street address with the house number – not just the street name:
Correct: «Hauptstraße 15»
Incorrect: «Hauptstraße» (without number)
Example of a correctly completed address for a German recipient:
Name: Hans Müller
Address: Hauptstraße 15
Postal code: 10115
City: Berlin
Country: Germany
What happens if the house number is missing?
The payment may pass validation in Catacloud but be rejected by the bank or an intermediary later in the payment chain. You will then receive an error message about an invalid recipient address.
How to resend the payment
Go to Bank and find the payment that failed.
Check the Address field – does it include a house number?
Delete the payment and create a new one with the correct address.
Important: Always check in your online bank that the original payment did not go through before resending, to avoid double payment.
