Who does what?
You do (in Catacloud): Activate the integration under Bank settings and approve the bank consent with BankID.
The authorised signatory in the company does: Signs the agreement with ZTL via the link in the email. The agreement is entered into between the company and ZTL.
ZTL does: Sends an email with a link for signing the agreement, and establishes access via open banking once the consent is approved.
We do (only if something fails): Follow up if something doesn't work.
How to activate bank integration with ZTL
Step 1 – Open Bank settings in Catacloud
Go to Administration → Module settings → Bank and click the toggle under BANK INTEGRATION. The "Activation of bank integration" dialog opens. The price for the integration is shown at the bottom of the dialog under PRICE BANK INTEGRATION.
Step 2 – Select ZTL
Under SELECT INTEGRATION you'll see two provider cards. Click Set up integration on the ZTL card. The company is then registered as a payment customer with ZTL.
Tip: Not sure whether your bank is supported? Click Supported banks on the ZTL card to see the list.
Step 3 – Sign the agreement with ZTL
The agreement is entered into between the company and ZTL, and is signed by the person with signatory rights in the company. The authorised signatory receives an email from ZTL with the subject "Velkommen til ZTL" (sender [email protected]). Signing only takes a couple of minutes:
Click Gå til signering (Go to signing) in the email. You'll be taken to ZTL's signing portal.
Under Dokumentoversikt (Document overview), click Les dokument (Read document) on the Company information document. Check that the details about the company, beneficial owners and roles are correct, and that the contact person email is filled in.
Click Fortsett (Continue) and confirm with Ja (Yes) that you have read and understood the document.
Read through ZTL's general terms and click Godkjenn (Approve).
Can't find the email? It is sent to the authorised signatory – not necessarily the person who activated the integration in Catacloud. Ask them to check their inbox and spam/junk folder.
Step 4 – Connect the bank accounts and approve the bank consent with BankID
Once the agreement is signed, connect the bank accounts in Catacloud:
Go to Administration → Module settings → Bank.
Under Bank accounts, find the account to connect and click Options → Set up integration.
You're redirected to the bank to log in and approve the consent with BankID. The approval has a time limit of 25 minutes, so complete it without long pauses.
Connected accounts are marked with the Connected label. Repeat for each bank account you want to connect.
Step 5 – Done
Once the consent is approved, the integration is usually active right away, and Catacloud starts fetching bank transactions and balances automatically.
ZTL or Aritma?
In the dialog you can choose between two providers:
ZTL – open banking. Quick and easy setup with no extra services from the bank. Payments are signed with BankID, and bank data is updated in real time.
Aritma – file transfer that requires extra setup and services in the bank (the agreement is normally processed in 1–3 business days). Payments are signed with an SMS code. See the separate guide: Setting up bank integration via Aritma.
Renewing an expired consent
A bank consent has a limited validity period. When it expires, delete the old consent and create a new one. See the separate guide: Bank consent: create, delete and renew.
Payments from Catacloud
If you want to send payments from Catacloud via ZTL, the payments are approved with BankID according to the bank's rules for the number of approvers.
When should you contact us?
The authorised signatory has not received the signing email from ZTL (after checking spam/junk).
The integration does not become active after the agreement is signed and the consent is approved.
You get an error message during setup.
You want to add new bank accounts or set up payment approval.
Please provide: the organisation number, bank name, and the status or error message you see in Catacloud.
