Two types of costs in Catacloud
What you pay for Catacloud consists of two elements:
Subscription – a fixed monthly cost for your plan and any add-on modules.
Transaction costs – variable costs based on what is actually produced in the system and which integrations you use.
Subscription
You choose one of two plans:
Micro – NOK 60/month (billed NOK 720 per year): For businesses with low activity. Vouchers cost NOK 3 each up to 100 vouchers per year – above 100 vouchers, the price increases to NOK 30 per voucher for the excess. Additional vouchers are automatically invoiced at the next billing interval.
Active – NOK 249/month: For businesses with normal activity. Unlimited number of vouchers at a fixed price of NOK 3 per voucher. Bank integration is included.
No binding period and no setup fee. Unlimited number of users on both plans.
Add-on modules and integrations
The following can be added to both plans:
Project – NOK 99/month
Time tracking – NOK 99/month
Bank integration – included in Active / NOK 49/month on Micro
Transaction costs
In addition to the subscription, transaction costs are invoiced based on actual usage. A transaction is anything "produced" in the system — vouchers you create manually, documents sent via integrations, and payments.
The following are priced per transaction:
Voucher – NOK 3
Voucher via integration – NOK 1
EHF – receipt – NOK 3
EHF – invoice (outgoing) – NOK 3
eFaktura – NOK 3
Avtalegiro – NOK 3
KID / OCR – NOK 3
Document interpreter – NOK 3
Bank payment – NOK 3
Invoice by post – NOK 30
Billing interval for Micro: On the Micro plan, transaction costs are invoiced on an ongoing basis — not just once a year. An invoice is triggered automatically when accumulated transaction costs exceed NOK 100 excl. VAT. This means you may receive multiple invoices throughout the year depending on your activity.
What is a voucher – and what counts?
A voucher is any entry created in the system. This applies to all types:
Sales invoices
Supplier invoices
Advanced vouchers (manual entries)
Bank reconciliation vouchers
Payroll and other automatically generated vouchers
All voucher types count equally, regardless of type.
Year of creation – not year of posting
The pricing engine calculates costs based on when the voucher was created in the system — not the date it was posted or booked.
Example: You create a voucher in December 2025 but post it with a date in January 2026. The voucher counts in 2025, because it was created in 2025.
Vouchers you register retroactively (e.g. historical data at startup) therefore count in the year they are entered into Catacloud — not the accounting year they relate to.
Exception: SAF-T import
Vouchers imported via SAF-T do not count towards pricing and are not invoiced. The pricing engine disregards vouchers entered through SAF-T import, regardless of quantity.
This applies to SAF-T import only. Vouchers you register manually — including historical ones — count as normal.
